West Ham are reportedly considering Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah as a possible target.
According to the Daily Star, the Hammers have widened their search during this summer transfer window in their attempt to sign a new centre-back.
It is claimed that bids have already been made for Burnley’s James Tarkowski, Napoli’s Nikola Maksimovic and Juventus’ Daniele Rugani.
The report explains that West Ham have also looked at Tah as a potential target, but they are yet to make an approach for him.
West Ham appear to be prioritising the signing of a new centre-back, which makes sense to boost the options available to manager David Moyes in the heart of defence.
They thumped Wolverhampton Wanderers 4-0 in their last league match, but many supporters are still frustrated over the transfer activity.

TBR’s View:
Tah has been recognised as one of the best upcoming defenders across Europe in the past few years and it’s seems like only a matter of time before he leaves Bundesliga outfit Leverkusen for a huge transfer to an elite club.
Despite the fact it seems unlikely he would come to the London Stadium, it would be a serious statement signing for West Ham if they somehow managed to sign the Germany international and make up for a quiet window so far.
He’s a no-nonsense centre-back that is strong in his tackling and in the air too, but like most modern day defenders he’s great with the ball at his feet and looks tailor-made for the Premier League.
