West Ham are reportedly interested in highly-rated attacker Arnaut Danjuma at Championship club Bournemouth.

According to the Sun, Premier League duo West Ham and Southampton are both tracking the 24-year-old who’s impressing in England’s second division.

It is explained that Southampton are already weighing up a summer bid for the attacker, but the Hammers may compete for his signature as they continue to monitor him.

Danjuma, who earns £28,000-a-week (Salary Sport), is a key player for a Bournemouth team sat seventh in the Championship table trying to finish in the play-off positions.

He is a skilful left-winger with trickery, pace and a real eye for goal.

The forward player has scored 10 goals and supplied five assists in just 27 appearances across all competitions this season.

TBR’s View:

Despite Danjuma’s versatility to play centrally in attack, he’s a conventional wide player, and the fact he’s played for Holland’s senior international team shows his potential.

He shouldn’t be a priority though in the summer for West Ham.

There is still plenty more to come from left-winger Said Benrahma for the Irons, and really the club should be focusing on finding a centre-forward to compete with Michail Antonio next season.

With David Moyes’ side still in the hunt for the Champions League positions, they should be able to attract some high-profile faces.
