West Ham forward Sebastien Haller is reportedly set to exit the London Stadium to join Dutch giants Ajax.

According to French publication L’Equipe, the 26-year-old Hammers star will complete a quick move to Amsterdam.

The report states that the centre-forward could make a €25million (£22.6million) transfer to Eredivisie leaders Ajax, who are also still in this season’s Europa League competition as well

There has been no recent speculation regarding a move to Holland for the West Ham target man, but it looks like he will now be leaving the Premier League and has to go down as a £45million (BBC) flop.

Even with Michail Antonio sidelined recently through injury, Haller hasn’t done enough in matches to really convince West Ham boss David Moyes of his talent.

He’s a physical attacker that has struggled with the pace of English football at times and looks a shadow of the player he was at Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.

TBR’s View:

Haller is certainly not a popular figure around West Ham and speculation suggests he may have played his last game for the club.

But he’s their top scorer this season with seven goals in 19 games across all competitions, albeit he’s netted more times in the Carabao Cup than the Premier League.

His departure makes sense if the Hammers can bring in a suitable replacement striker that can compete with Antonio for a starting position.

The £115,000-a-week (Spotrac) star can look to rebuild his reputation now with Ajax and he previously had big success in Holland, scoring 51 goals in 98 appearances for FC Utrecht.
