French outlet Le10Sport have claimed that West Ham United are keeping a ‘very close’ eye on Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko who has been on loan at Monaco during the 2019-20 campaign.
Bakayoko, 25, joined Chelsea in the summer of 2017 from Monaco for a fee of £35million (Telegraph) – but has since been labelled a flop at Stamford Bridge. He was sent on loan to AC Milan, where he was in and out of form.
Returning to Chelsea last summer, the one-time France international joined his old club Monaco last summer and has been first choice since his return – and the Ligue 1 side have the opportunity to sign him permanently.
But Monaco may find they have competition for his signature. Chelsea want £31.2million for Bakayoko as per Le10Sport, and AC Milan are keen – but West Ham are ‘very closely’ considering a move, who last played for Chelsea in May 2018.

TBR’s view – Bakayoko just what West Ham need
But would the Frenchman be tempted with a move to the Hammers? The midfielder is clearly a top talent but fancies himself in a side that are challenging for European competition, rather than a side that are battling Premier League relegation.
West Ham are more than capable of affording his signature and they certainly need a central midfielder like Bakayoko. But whether they can convince the midfielder to move to west London remains to be seen.
