West Ham United are considering replicating their inspired move for Jarrod Bowen by making a bid for Hull City starlet Keane Lewis-Potter, according to Hull Live.

Lewis-Potter is winning a lot of admirers in the top flight as he continues to catch the eye in the Championship. He has been an ever-present for Grant McCann’s men this term.

The 20-year-old has scored four goals and contributed four assists this term. It comes off the back of a campaign in which he scored 13 times in League One.

Hull Live reports that a number of Premier League sides are monitoring Lewis-Potter. West Ham and Leicester want the youngster, while at least two more are potentially readying bids, according to Hull Live.

It is noted that the Tigers rejected an £8 million bid from Brentford in the summer. And it is suggested that they plan to hold out for much more having received £20 million when Bowen moved to the London Stadium.

West Ham hoping to repeat Jarrod Bowen masterstroke with Keane Lewis-Potter

Hull will also be wary of selling Keane-Potter in January. McCann’s side have been on an excellent run of form of late. But they only find themselves four points above the bottom three. So letting him go would be a gamble.

Of course, that move for Bowen is only likely to encourage West Ham. Like Bowen, Keane-Potter has tended to play in a wider role in the forward line. But he has experience playing through the middle.

He is the kind of player who gets supporters out of their seats. He is brave on the ball, and always willing to try a piece of skill to beat his man. Former West Ham man McCann previously labelled the starlet special.

It is potentially too soon for Keane-Potter to make a real impact at the highest level. Having said that, he is playing week-in, week-out in the second tier.

And having had Bowen become such a key man at West Ham, the Hammers may well be inclined to roll the dice.
