West Ham United are expected to sign Craig Dawson from Watford during the final days of the transfer window, with the Guardian reporting that the Hammers target is likely to cost no more than £4 million.
The Hammers look set to be one of the Premier League’s busier teams in the coming days. They did not make a raft of signings during the summer, and are seemingly looking to bring in more than one signing before the deadline passes.

According to the Guardian, they are getting closer in their bid to land Said Benrahma from Brentford.
And the report suggests that a move for Dawson is also looking to be on the cards. The Guardian suggests that he is likely to make a move on the cheap.

TBR View: Dawson move has few downsides for Irons
It is surely difficult to have too many complaints about a move for Dawson.
Of course, West Ham were probably linked with more exciting names before Monday’s international deadline.
But given the pool of players currently available to them, Dawson could be an extremely smart signing.
He is versatile and has been a stalwart in the Premier League for a number of years. So for around £4 million, it may prove to be a shrewd piece of business from the Hammers.
