Report: West Ham, Everton and Fulham want Liverpool-linked Bremer

Italian site Toro News have claimed the Premier League race is hotting up for Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer, with West Ham United, Fulham and Everton all considering the Brazilian, who has recently been linked with Liverpool.

Bremer, 23, has caught the eye over the past couple of seasons with his performances for Torino – becoming renowned as a goalscoring defender. Clocking up 63 appearances for Torino, he has scored nine goals since his move from Atletico Mineiro.

The powerful defender has scored four goals in 19 Serie A appearances this season, and that has attracted interest from the Premier League. The Mirror claim Liverpool have made Bremer their top summer target, who is valued at less than £10million.

But the latest report says that Everton, West Ham and Fulham have joined Liverpool in the race for Bremer – who is set to spark a summer window royal rumble between Premier League clubs. He has a contract at Torino until the summer of 2023.

TBR’s view – Which club should Bremer join?

Liverpool need centre-backs and if Bremer joins, he would probably be first reserve – even if Ozan Kabak stays and Joel Matip returns from injury. That would be a good move for Bremer, given he would get plenty of game time.

But if he wants to be first choice, then elsewhere might be better for him. At Fulham, there is no doubt he would be in the starting XI. Everton have Ben Godfrey, Michael Keane, Mason Holgate and Yerry Mina – so Fulham is a better option.

West Ham also have numerous options especially with Craig Dawson set to sign permanently. If he wants to start, then Fulham is the best of the four clubs – but Liverpool would surely be his ideal move given he would be first cover.
