West Ham United could make a bid to sign Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Liverpool this summer, the Daily Express suggests.
Bid incoming?
West Ham are on the hunt for an attacking midfield addition, with Jesse Lingard’s return no longer guaranteed.
West Ham have both Lingard and Ross Barkley on their radar, but it is now said that Oxlade-Chamberlain is also on his wishlist.
The £35 million England international (BBC Sport) has actually been trialled as a forward by Liverpool over pre-season.
But it seems that a departure is far from off the cards, with West Ham hopeful that a deal could be done.
Out of favour
Oxlade-Chamberlain has fallen out of favour at Liverpool, and only had a limited amount of game time in recent years.
But the Liverpool creator is undoubtedly a high quality player when at the top of his game.

If he was to join West Ham on loan he could be a useful option, especially if the Hammers could keep him fit.
If Liverpool were to sanction a deal it would leave big question marks being asked of the former England international’s future at Anfield, though.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has just two years left on his contract at Anfield, and if he was to depart on loan, it would seem highly unlikely that he would be offered an extension.
