West Ham are said to be keen on signing Juventus midfielder, Sami Khedira, who is said to be open to a move to the Premier League this summer.
The German, 33, won the World Cup for his country while he’s also got his hands on the Champions League trophy in an illustrious career so far.
However, Khedira could well leave Juventus this summer, with the midfielder admitting in recent interviews that he is open to a move to the Premier League. Both Everton and Manchester United are said to be keen, according to The Sun.
But West Ham are also said to be in the mix, with Sportsmediaset (via Goal) claiming that the Hammers have made their interest in Khedira known. Any move would rekindle previous interest in the German, who was said to be interesting the club a few months back.
Khedira would represent a fine signing for the Hammers. Having 77 caps for his country and with nearly 500 club appearances to his name, the Juventus man would certainly bring something new to West Ham.
Top player, big competition – TBR View
If Khedira is going to be available this summer, then there is no wonder so many clubs will want to sign him.
Few midfielders hold the stature in the game that Khedira does. He’s won everything there is to win in the game and other than a few serious injuries, his career has been excellent.
West Ham would be getting a superb player if they did land Khedira. And with Declan Rice potentially on his way sooner or later, Khedira would at least soften the blow.
