David Moyes is interested in finding out what Thomas Tuchel’s plans for Billy Gilmour are, with the Daily Mirror reporting that the West Ham boss would like to take the midfielder on loan for the rest of the season.
The Hammers have freed up one loan spot by making Said Benrahma’s deal permanent this week. And it appeared that Jesse Lingard was set to be the beneficiary of that decision.

The Athletic reported that the Irons were likely to sign the Manchester United man. However, it seems that he is not the only loan target on Moyes’ radar.
The Daily Mirror has now reported that Moyes is keen to find out about Gilmour’s availability. Of course, it largely remains to be seen what Tuchel makes of the 19-year-old.

The good news for West Ham is another report has already suggested that the Scot will be on the move before the deadline passes.
The Telegraph claimed that Gilmour is expected to leave on loan. So it will be interesting to see where he could end up.
It would appear that West Ham will only be able to sign one of Lingard or Gilmour. But perhaps they could also consider replicating their Benrahma decision with fellow loanee Craig Dawson.
Gilmour – who earns around £43,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – looks to have an incredibly bright future ahead. But Chelsea’s decision to sack Frank Lampard looks set to do him few favours.
It highlights the need for Tuchel to hit the ground running. Of course, that may mean that the young players breaking through receive fewer opportunities.
And West Ham are seemingly hoping that they may benefit from Lampard’s departure.
