West Ham think they have just a 10% chance of signing Jesse Lingard this summer.
What’s the story?
The attacker spent the second half of last season on loan at the London Stadium. He was devastating for the Hammers, scoring nine times in just 15 Premier League games as he helped the club qualify for the Europa League.
And the east Londoners have been looking to sign him all summer long.
However, according to Sky Sports, the Hammers don’t think they have much of a chance to complete a deal for the Manchester United ace.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently claimed the £20m-rated Lingard would be staying with the Red Devils this summer.
Gareth Southgate once labelled Lingard ‘immense‘.

10%: West Ham won’t sign Lingard this summer
With just a 10% chance, it seems as though West Ham have all but given up their pursuit of Lingard.
And what a shame it proves to be.
His form last season was more than just luck. The England international knitted together the whole Irons attack and was the driving force behind much that was good.
David Moyes now has the enviable task of searching for a like-minded replacement.
Given how fruitful Lingard was during his half-season, it’s almost impossible Moyes will find someone as impactful.
That means the likes of Said Benrahma and Jarrod Bowen will need to step up next season.
