West Ham are reportedly interested in signing defender Junior Caicara, who won the Turkish league title with Basaksehir last season.
According to the Sun, the Hammers are eyeing the 31-year-old full-back and he’s believed to be keen on a first ever move to the Premier League in his career.
It is understood that newly promoted Premier League side West Brom are also keen on his signature, while Zenit St Petersburg are another that want to try land him.
The report explains that David Moyes’ team are prioritising a new right-back during the summer window and their new target is valued at £3million, with Ryan Fredericks the only current option at the London Stadium to fill the role.
Caicara is an experienced player that wants to test himself in English football and on paper he looks like someone that is certainly worth the gamble at a minimal fee of £3million.
The Brazilian right-back managed seven assists across all competitions last season and is a threat going forward, which is why he can play further up the pitch if required.

TBR’s View:
West Ham definitely need some competition for Fredericks at the London Stadium and Brazilian Caicara may be the right man to provide that.
He’s a quick defender that has experience in both the Champions League and Europa League, so it seems a no-brainer to try win the race for his signature this summer.
It’s unclear on what sort of transfer budget Moyes will be working on during the next couple of months, but it shows there is still some value in the market.
