Report: West Ham and Villa think they can get Tammy Abraham for less than £40m
According to ESPN, West Ham and Aston Villa are confident of landing Tammy Abraham for less than the reported £40m Chelsea want him for him.
It is believed Abraham will seek a move this summer. The Chelsea man has fallen foul of Thomas Tuchel’s selection policy and is clearly not fancied by the German manager.
Chelsea are thought to be looking for around £40m for the England striker. However, Villa, West Ham and Newcastle are all keen and are said to be confident in bringing that asking-price down, per ESPN.
Abraham’s demise has come as Tuchel has opted to go with a false nine in some games. The new Blues manager seemingly intent on getting Timo Werner and Kai Havertz involved. However, Abraham cannot complain, given Tuchel’s success thus far.
West Ham could be a likely destination, given their need for a number nine. Villa, meanwhile, know Abraham well after he scored 26 goals for them in the Championship.

All the stars seem to be aligning that Abraham will end up a West Ham player in the summer. He can stay in London, move to a club who needs a striker, and also be with a side who could be in Europe.
Abraham has everything to succeed in the Premier League. In fact, he’s already proven himself both this season and last at times.
And if that £40m price can be dropped down, then Abraham could represent a bit of a bargain in the long-term.
