According to a report from TEAMtalk, West Ham and Southampton are among the Premier League sides interested in signing Marcus Forss.
Forss has made an outstanding start to the season. He has scored seven goals in nine appearances for AFC Wimbledon, having joined the League One side on loan from Brentford in September.
TEAMtalk reports that the Bees are planning to recall the 20-year-old in January, and a number of top flight sides have made enquiries.
The report suggests that the Hammers and Saints want Forss, while Watford and Brighton and Hove Albion are also interested in the Finland under-21 international.
Forss has scored seven goals in eight league appearances for the Dons. So it is not difficult to see why he has admirers further up the leagues.
West Ham certainly appear to need to strengthen their striker options in January. Manuel Pellegrini has Sebastien Haller, but there are questions about the depth the Irons have up front.
Similarly, Southampton could do with signing another forward in the winter window. It would not be a surprise to see Che Adams come good at some stage. But Danny Ings could still do with some additional support.
Of course, the fans of either club may not be best pleased if Forss proved to be their one striker signing when the next window opens. But his form since joining Wimbledon suggests that he could have an incredibly bright future ahead of him.
