Newcastle and West Ham are eyeing up a move for Inter Milan player Dalbert Henrique, according to FC Inter News.
The left-footer arrived at the San Siro in 2017 from Ligue 1 outfit Nice but has struggled to impose himself in Italy.
During his three years with the Italian giants, he has played just 24 times, spending last season on loan at divisional rivals Fiorentina.
Last season he proved his worth making 34 appearances in Serie A, alerting Premier League clubs with his displays playing at left-back and on the left flank.
From the left, he also registered nine assists, displaying his modern-day tendencies to get forward at every opportunity.
Henrique is valued at £18 million by Inter with Antonio Conte deeming the player surplus to requirements.
Newcastle are seemingly set to sign Jamal Lewis this week but signing two left-backs wouldn’t be completely surprising.
Paul Dummett is at the Magpies but it’s fair to suggest having Henrique and Lewis would give the department a much stronger look.
West Ham are desperate to bolster their squad and starting at the back looks like an ideal situation.
The Hammers stayed up last season but if they are to kick on this time around, David Moyes will know he needs some new additions.
TBR View – Newcastle might be wary after Lazaro signing; could pave the way for West Ham
In January, Newcastle added Valentino Lazaro to their ranks in what seemed like an eye-catching signing.
It didn’t really work out though and the Magpies chose not to make his move permanent, allowing him to join Borussia Monchengladbach.
With that in mind, Bruce might be hesitant when it comes to raiding Inter for another of their fringe players.
If that is the case, West Ham could enjoy a free run at Henrique and the Hammers could dearly do with a signing or two.
The 26-year-old could pile the pressure on Aaron Cresswell who flattered to deceive last season and he could prove a solid addition for Moyes.
