West Ham United and Everton are hoping to scupper Manchester United’s hopes of signing Norwich City starlet Todd Cantwell, according to a report from The Sun on Sunday (5/1; page 63).
Cantwell has been a revelation for the Canaries this season. Daniel Farke’s men may be facing a monumental task trying to get out of the relegation zone. But the 21-year-old has been excellent.

Cantwell has scored six goals and provided two assists in 21 Premier League games. One of those goals came in November’s 2-0 win over Everton.
And it appears that the Toffees are now admirers of the youngster. The Sun on Sunday (5/1; page 63) reports that Carlo Ancelotti and David Moyes both want the England under-21 international, while the Red Devils are also keen.

It is reported however, that Cantwell is keen to stay for the rest of the season to try and help the Canaries stay up. And Norwich are under no pressure to sell.
TBR View – Cantwell making wise decision?
Some may deem it to be a brave decision for Cantwell to stay at Carrow Road until the summer. But perhaps, it is actually a smart move from the starlet.
His stock is incredibly high despite Norwich’s struggles. So it is not out of the question for it to remain high should Farke’s men fail to get themselves out of trouble.
At Norwich, he is a key player. Meanwhile, moving in January may not be ideal, particularly for a young player who is still learning.
The likes of West Ham, Everton and Manchester United will surely still be there with offers whatever happens to Norwich this season. So staying put in this window may be a wise move.
