West Ham are reportedly among the clubs watching Bristol City’s Antoine Semenyo as a potential target.

According to TEAMtalk, West Ham have the Championship star on their transfer radar.

It is explained that Newcastle United, Brighton, Southampton, Sheffield United, Norwich and Watford are clubs also checking on his progress.

But the report has named Premier League side Crystal Palace as the frontrunners for his signature at present.

Semenyo, 21, is a highly-rated London-born talent that is making a real name for himself in the English second-tier.

The versatile forward, who can play centrally or on the wing, has five goals and seven assists across all competitions this season for Bristol City.

After previously spells out on loan, he’s now a regular first teamer at Ashton Gate, and catching the eye in the Championship.

TBR’s View:

With so many clubs in the race for Semenyo, it’ll be interesting to see what kind of valuation Bristol City put on him.

West Ham have several players in their squad that have previously played in the Championship, which is a division that continues to help develop real talent.

It’s unlikely he would be able to break into the forward line immediately at the London Stadium, but David Moyes’ squad requires some extra options in the final third next season, especially if they qualify for Europe.
