West Ham will pay Brentford £8 million should they end up selling Said Benrahma, according to a report from TEAMtalk.
After much back and forth in recent days, the Hammers appear to be closing in on signing the Algerian.

According to TEAMtalk, David Moyes’s men will pay £17 million up front for the 25-year-old should a move go through. Meanwhile, the fee could be topped up by £8 million in potential add-ons.
Interestingly however, TEAMtalk adds that the Irons have also agreed that they will pay the Bees a further £8 million should they sell Benrahma further down the line.

That fee is reportedly set in stone regardless of how much he leaves for. So it will be interesting to see how that influences West Ham should he be linked with a move away in the future.
Interested clubs keen to sign Benrahma may have to keep in mind that West Ham will immediately have to pass on a substantial fee.
So they will almost certainly have to be prepared to increase what they are willing to pay.
West Ham will be hoping that it is not a clause that they have to worry about for a few years yet. Benrahma is at an age where he should be about to enjoy potentially the best spell of his career.
He will certainly be under a fair amount of pressure with West Ham potentially looking at paying up to £33 million to Brentford over the coming years.
