Report: West Ham ace once likened to two-time UCL winner ‘attracting interest’ from English clubs
According to the Athletic, the 23-year-old winger is ‘attracting interest’ from sides in the English second-tier.
Holland didn’t make a single first-team appearance last season. The attacker playing just eight games at youth level for the Hammers.
It is unknown whether or not Holland could leave this window. Although the winger has hardly featured on the pitch over the past 12 months, the attacker has been a star for the Hammers in pre-season this summer.
Holland impressed against Dundee FC for West Ham. And with the departure of Felipe Anderson, there is room in the squad for a winger.
UEFA Europa League football also means that West Ham will be playing more games than usual next campaign.
Indeed, the former Everton youth academy star was once one of the most exciting talents coming through the east London side.
As per the Standard, Holland was once compared to Manchester United legend and two-time UEFA Champions League winner Ryan Giggs.
Yet injuries and a lack of first-team football have halted Holland’s development. And at 23-years-old, this summer could be make or break for the youngster.
Although the attacker has impressed with the Irons in pre-season, whether or not Moyes would be willing to throw Holland in the deep end for next season is an entirely different question.
And with Championship sides circling Holland, the winger could take his trade to the second-tier of England to prove his worth in one of the most physically demanding leagues in the country.
