West Bromwich Albion made a late move to take Martin Braithwaite on loan from Barcelona, but Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo has reported that the striker did not want to move.
It was no surprise to see the Baggies prove to be one of the busiest teams in the January window. Sam Allardyce’s side need a strong second-half of the campaign to get themselves out of trouble in the Premier League.

One of the signings they did make was Okay Yokuslu, with the Celta Vigo midfielder arriving on loan. But it appears that he was not the only La Liga player the Baggies made a move for.
According to Mundo Deportivo, West Brom wanted to take Braithwaite on loan. It is suggested that the offer included an option to buy for around £13.2 million.
However, the former Middlesbrough man decided that he wanted to stay at the Nou Camp. It is noted that he is content with the game-time he is currently getting.

The 29-year-old has made 17 top flight appearances this term, starting nine times.
And of course, West Brom’s situation is currently looking bleak. Following their defeat on Tuesday night, they are one point above the bottom.
They have also only taken one point from their last four games.
Mbaye Diagne has come in on loan to bolster their attacking options. But the addition of another forward may have been very welcome as the Baggies look to ignite their season.
