West Bromwich Albion are interested in taking Japhet Tanganga on loan from Tottenham Hotspur during the final hours of the transfer window, according to a report from the Express and Star.
The Baggies have taken four points from their last four games. However, they remain six points off safety in the Premier League.

So it would be no surprise if they were one of the busier sides on deadline day. The Express and Star reports that Sam Allardyce hopes to make two signings before the window shuts.
And one of the players he reportedly has his eye on is Tanganga. The 21-year-old is yet to feature in the top flight this season, having spent some time on the sidelines due to injury.

He has previously shown some real promise for Spurs. So it will be interesting to see whether Jose Mourinho shows any willingness to let him leave for the rest of the season.
If he is not going to play much, a loan could be a good move. But Mourinho will also be wary of weakening his squad with the Carabao Cup final and Europa League knockout stages ahead.
Tanganga – who earns around £23,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – is a player who can play at right-back or in the middle. So while he is not a first-team regular by any means, he is a fantastic option to have.
Mourinho himself, described the academy graduate as a ‘great professional’ back in October (via Football London).
It is not clear what Tottenham’s stance will be. He may benefit from a loan. But Spurs may prefer to keep him around for the coming months.
