Conor Gallagher’s form on loan at West Brom has caught the attention of Crystal Palace, with the Daily Express reporting that the Eagles are planning a bid for the midfielder this summer.

Gallagher continues to impress while out on loan from Chelsea. He enjoyed a superb year in the Championship last term.

The 21-year-old scored six goals for Charlton during the first-half of the campaign. And he got six assists after switching to Swansea and helping the Swans reach the play-offs.

It was West Brom who landed Gallagher ahead of this season. And he has arguably been a real shining light for the Baggies amid their struggles back in the Premier League.

Whatever happens to Sam Allardyce’s men, it seems inevitable that Gallagher will be playing at the highest level again next year.

And it appears that Palace would like to be the ones to offer him that chance. According to the Daily Express, Roy Hodgson’s men are plotting a permanent move.

It is claimed that Chelsea would want £9 million for the youngster.

If Chelsea are prepared to sell Gallagher for that price, Palace are surely going to have to brace themselves for competition.

The midfielder’s form hints that he could be worth significantly more in the future. And there must be plenty of other sides who would welcome adding his tenacity and intensity to their options in the middle of the park.
