West Bromwich Albion are growing increasingly confident of signing Cedric Kipre, with the Express and Star reporting that the defender may be ready to reject a move elsewhere to seal a Premier League switch.
The Baggies have made a quiet start to the summer window. Matheus Pereira has seen his loan converted into a permanent move. But so far, no new faces have arrived.

It does appear however, that that could soon change.
The Express and Star reports that the Baggies are mulling over a move for Kipre. It is suggested that they are growing increasingly confident that they will be able to sign the Wigan Athletic centre-back.

The Express and Star notes that Blackburn have agreed a £900,000 fee with the Latics. However, Kipre is said to prefer a move to the Premier League.
TBR View: Kipre could be smart signing in what could be quiet window for Baggies
The Express and Star has claimed that Slaven Bilic has around £20 million to spend this summer. That budget may leave many fans concerned about their chances of success back in the Premier League.
Bilic will certainly have to box clever in the market. And a move for Kipre may prove a good start if he is going to cost less than £1 million.
Despite Wigan’s relegation, Kipre – like many of his teammates – was extremely impressive in the Championship last season.
And it may be a good piece of business should they decide to bring him to the Hawthorns this summer.
