West Bromwich Albion are hoping to bolster their squad on deadline day, with Sky Sports reporting on their live transfer blog (31/1; 08:44) that they are in talks with Watford over a loan move for Domingos Quina.
Slaven Bilic’s men have been fairly quiet this month.
But Callum Robinson arrived on loan from Sheffield United earlier this week, and it looks as though the Baggies are looking to get more players in.
According to a report from Sky Sports’ live transfer blog (31/1; 08:44), West Brom have begun talks with the Hornets over a potential loan for Quina.
Quina has been a peripheral figure at Vicarage Road this season. The youngster has made just four substitute appearances for the club in the Premier League.
So it is difficult to imagine that Nigel Pearson will have too many qualms about letting the Portuguese leave on Friday.
TBR View – Could reunion with Bilic ignite Quina’s career?
It would be unfair to suggest that Quina’s career has stalled at Watford. He is still just 20 and has been involved since Pearson came in.
But a reunion with Bilic could perhaps ignite his career. The Croatian was the manager who handed the midfielder his senior debut for West Ham United in 2017.
And with the Baggies sitting second in the Championship, it appears that Bilic is optimistic that Quina has the potential to help see his current side across the line in the promotion race.
