The Express & Star have claimed that Championship promotion contenders West Bromwich Albion have had an offer accepted for Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki – despite the Polish star being linked with a move to Scottish champions Celtic.

Grosicki, 31, could be about to leave Hull with the 73-time Poland international entering the final six months of his contract at the KCOM Stadium. He has had a hand in 12 goals this season, scoring eight goals and creating four in 30 outings.

The Scottish Daily Mail reports (29/01 print edition, back page) claimed on Wednesday that Celtic were interested in a move for the ex-Rennes, Sivasspor and Legia Warsaw attacker. Celtic can land Grosicki for nothing on a pre-contract agreement.

Meanwhile, West Brom would have to sign him before Friday’s deadline. The Baggies have had a bid accepted, and it remains to be seen if Celtic will respond in the tussle for Grosicki.

TBR’s view – Would Grosicki be better off at Celtic or West Brom?

Under a manager with incredible knowledge of European talent, there is no doubt that Grosicki would thrive in a West Brom side that includes Mathues Pereira, Grady Diangana, Matt Phillips and new signing Callum Robinson.

But it might be that that list of attacking talent could convince Grosicki to move to Celtic, if indeed the Hoops are keen on a move. Scott Sinclair has left, Maryan Shved is linked with a loan exit, and cover is required for James Forrest and Mo Elyounoussi.

Celtic is the better move, but the chance of the Premier League comes with joining West Brom.
