West Brom are interested in Coventry City star Gustavo Hamer as the Baggies prepare for their return to the Championship, according to a report from The Athletic.
Their relegation was confirmed on Sunday as they were beaten 3-1 at Arsenal. The result came after a spirited fightback during much of the second-half of the campaign.

Unfortunately, the Baggies are now heading back to the second tier. And with a number of key players likely to be playing elsewhere next year, thoughts will now turn to who will come in at the Hawthorns.
And one of the names on their radar is Hamer, according to The Athletic.

The 23-year-old is attracting attention after an impressive year with the Sky Blues following a £1 million move (via Coventry Live). He has scored five goals and contributed two assists. Just two Coventry players ended the campaign with more goals than the Brazilian-born Dutchman.
He looks to be an incredibly clever player. As shown by Whoscored, no Coventry player averages more key passes per game than Hamer. He also averages more attempts on goal than any of his teammates.
Hamer is an excellent passer of the ball, often dropping into pockets of space to pick out a long ball.
West Brom look set to lose a number of their midfield players this summer. The likes of Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Conor Gallagher are only on loan.
Meanwhile, Matheus Pereira is surely going to attract a lot of interest.
Signing Hamer would obviously not solve all of the problems West Brom face in the middle of the park this summer. But he looks to have that piece of magic up his sleeve that suggests that he could make an incredibly impressive addition.
