The early signs suggest that Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion could end up battling it out for the Championship title this season – and it appears that they may soon also go head to head fighting over one of the Championship’s most lethal goalscorers.
90 Min has reported this week that the Baggies and the Whites are amongst the teams interested in signing Hull City forward Jarrod Bowen.
Bowen has been sensational this term. The 22-year-old has scored 14 goals in just 20 league appearances and will be looking to put a dent in Marcelo Bielsa’s side’s promotion hopes on Tuesday as the Tigers travel to Elland Road.
According to 90 Min, Leeds and the Baggies are in the running for Bowen’s signature. It appears however, that a number of Premier League sides are also keen.
Newcastle United, Bournemouth, Burnley, Sheffield United and Aston Villa are reportedly amongst his admirers.

Bowen’s form makes it difficult to imagine a Championship side being able to afford a move. Hull are not in the strongest position – his contract will expire in 2021 if an option is taken up on his deal – but they will still be able to ask for a large sum.
That surely makes it imperative that Leeds or West Brom are promoted if they hope to sign the youngster. But his goalscoring record suggests that he would be well worth the outlay if either do go up.
