Juan Foyth’s exit from Tottenham Hotspur may be about to come to fruition, with reports in Spain claiming that Valencia have had contact with the player’s agent.
According to Cadena COPE, the Argentine defender is one of two options for Valencia – the other being Daniele Rugani of Juventus.
Valencia are supposedly in contact with the agents of both players, and are ready to intensify their pursuits with little time remaining in the transfer window.
Manager Javi Gracia is said to be desperate for a new centre-half and officials are working to satisfy his demands.
Cadena report that Valencia are exploring the possibility of a loan including a non-mandatory purchase option in the case of both players.
It is also stated that Foyth would be willing to make the move to the Spanish outfit.
The 22-year-old – who cost the club a reported £8 million (BBC Sport) – is yet to make an appearance for Spurs in 2020/21 and is seemingly not part of Jose Mourinho’s immediate plans.
TBR’s View – Foyth needs game time
Having played so little for Spurs since joining the club in 2017, it really is about time Foyth started playing regular minutes.
Aged 22, this is a crucial time for the player and his development, and he needs to play as often as possible if he is going to prove himself good enough to be a Spurs regular in the future.
