Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks is set for Sampdoria in Serie A and is due to fly in to join the Italian club today.
It has been clear all summer that Winks has no future at Spurs under Antonio Conte and he is finally closing in on an exit.
Italian outlet TMW claim that the England international will join the club on a loan deal for the season with an option to buy.
The report says his preference was to stay in the Premier League but he has weighed it up and is now off to Italy for the year.

Winks set for Sampdoria
The process was slightly delayed by the bank holiday weekend but it is all systems go with the paperwork which will allow Winks to complete his move.
Conte prefers more physical, athletic midfielders and although he gave Winks more of a chance than the likes of Tanguy Ndombele, the outcome has been the same.
Winks should do well in the slower, more languid pace of Serie A and he needs to go somewhere he will play regularly and get some form back.
He has previously been labelled ‘unbelievable‘, by Jan Vertonghen, but there remains a feeling that Winks has not really fulfilled his potential yet.
The World Cup is in a few months and Winks is nowhere near the England picture despite being part of Gareth Southgate’s plans in the past.
Spurs fans will likely be keeping a keen eye on how he gets on as he looks to impress in Serie A, at a club coming off the back of a 4-0 defeat to Salernitana at the weekend.
