Report: Two other Manchester City players included in talks with Tottenham for Harry Kane
Reports emerged on Monday that Manchester City had offered Tottenham a fee of £100million, and the option of three players. That trio is Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Aymeric Laporte. Now, The Athletic have added two names into the mix for Tottenham star Kane – Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva.
Kane, 27, has a whopping price tag of £150million. Fabrizio Romano says that Sterling, Jesus and Laporte are all potential makeweights. City are clearly desperate not to have to pay a whopping £150million.
The Italian journalist claims a fee of £100million could surface, with one or even two players included in the deal. Now, the Athletic claim five players are on the table – not only Laporte, Sterling and Jesus, but also Mahrez and Silva. However, Spurs have turned the offers down.
Surely, Tottenham need to sell Kane to Manchester City now – as reports of Mahrez and Silva are discussed…
Tottenham will be desperate not to sell Kane. But of course, every player has his price – even Kane. If Spurs can bring in a nine-figure fee and a player or two from City, then it is a deal they cannot turn down. Mahrez has been electric for City during 2020-21, while Silva is massively underrated.
If Spurs receive an offer of £100million and can include Laporte – they need a left-footed centre-back – and an attacker from the list of Sterling, Mahrez, Jesus and Silva, then it is a deal they have to consider. It would be a deal that surely, Spurs fans would accept and actually be excited by.
