The Chronicle have claimed two Newcastle United players -Ki Sung-yueng and Jack Colback – will leave St. James’ Park soon given that their contracts expire at the end of the season.
Ki, 30, has managed just three Premier League appearances all season. The former Swansea City and Celtic man is out of contract in the summer, and it is believed the South Korea international will not be offered a new deal.
Colback, also 30, last played for Newcastle in May 2017 and has since been on loan at Nottingham Forest for 18 months – playing 55 times. His contract is also set to expire at the end of the season, and it is now claimed he will leave.
It remains to be seen whether Colback and Ki will leave in January, which will surely see Newcastle sell both players for a nominal fee. But it is now clear that neither will remain beyond June.

TBR’s view – Should Newcastle get rid of both players?
Yes. They are completely unneeded, especially with the breakthrough of both Matty and Sean Longstaff, while Isaac Hayden and Jonjo Shelvey have impressed in recent weeks under Steve Bruce.
Newcastle will lose both for nothing in the summer and with the duo surplus to requirements, surely The Toon will wave goodbye to both players for nothing in January.
