German newspaper BILD claim that Bayern Munich defender Niklas Sule and Eintracht Frankfurt ace Filip Kostic are on Newcastle United’s radar.
The new owners have been linked with a whole host of stars since Newcastle completed a £305million takeover. Kostic and Sule are included.
Sule, 26, joined Bayern in 2017 and has been excellent for Bayern in his four years at the club – clocking up 144 appearances in all competitions.
The Germany international is in the final year of his contract at Bayern now. He is yet to sign a new deal, and Sport1 claim he wants £190k a week.
Kostic, meanwhile, is an assist machine. The 28-year-old Frankfurt star has 52 assists in 135 games for Frankfurt, while also scoring 28 goals.
Both have now been added to Newcastle’s shortlist – with the report also stating that Philippe Coutinho and Timo Werner are options for the Toon.

Kostic and Sule: Bundesliga duo are just what Newcastle need
Last summer, Steve Bruce wanted to bring a centre-midfielder and a centre-back to the club – but Newcastle only signed Joe Willock permanently.
Bringing in Kostic and Sule would solve those issues. Sule is a big, powerful centre-back that will throw his body in the way of a shot.
But he is just as comfortable with the ball at his feet. A cut-price fee could be engineered, given his contract situation. Kostic’s future is also a doubt.
The playmaker, who can play as a winger or in the 10 role, is in the last 18 months of his deal. Both would massively improve Newcastle’s side.
