Report: Two Arsenal players are about to leave and they'll both be joining the same club
Marseille could be set to snap up both Matteo Guendouzi and William Saliba from Arsenal, The Times say.
Guendouzi’s move to the French club is set to be done within 24 hours, while Saliba should join him shortly.
Arsenal have been keen to ship the two young players out to get them extra game time.
And Marseille have managed to seal what looks like a double deal.
Both players are set to join the Ligue 1 side on loan, with the transfers expected to be announced soon.
Crucially Arsenal have not negotiated a permanent clause in the Saliba deal, which means that he should return to them again next season.
Saliba’s impending departure will still disappointing some Arsenal fans, though.
There are high hopes among supporters for the central defender, but Mikel Arteta’s doubts over him appear to remain.
Saliba impressed out on loan at Nice last season, but even his performances there don’t seem to have been enough to force him into Arsenal’s starting line-up.
It will now be up for him to prove himself again in France, in the hope of making an impact with the Gunners during the 2022/23 campaign.
