Tottenham Hotspur were once linked with a move to Graham Potter as a potential Antonio Conte replacement, now he is being lined up to be Chelsea’s next boss.
The Blues officially announced today that Thomas Tuchel had left the London club by mutual consent.
It comes the day after Chelsea fell to a shock 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League.
The English boss is now an early favourite to take over at Stamford Bridge. But he was once linked with replacing Antonio Conte at Spurs.

Tottenham’s Conte replacement lined up by Chelsea
Back in May, the Telegraph reported that Potter had emerged as a top candidate to replace Conte, if he had left Spurs.
At the time there was uncertainty surrounding the Italian’s future as he was set for crunch talks with the Tottenham board.
Indeed, Conte ended up remaining in North London and the Spurs board have backed him in the summer window.
But it seems that Potter would be one of Daniel Levy’s top choices if the Italian was to ever leave.

The Brighton boss has done an excellent job for the south coast side over the past few seasons.
Potter has often had to work on a limited budget but has managed to guide the Seagulls to a top-half finish last season.
Now it seems that Todd Boehly has made the Englishman his top target.
Spurs fans won’t be too worried about Potter joining their bitter rivals. Especially as Conte looks set to stay in North London for the time being.
The Italian has spoken positively about his future at the club in recent months and seems invested in the project.
