According to a report from The Sun, Hugo Lloris is hoping that he will not need to undergo surgery after sustaining a horrific-looking injury in Tottenham Hotspur’s weekend defeat.
Lloris had to be stretchered off after landing awkwardly in the build-up to Brighton’s first goal. The Sun reports that he has dislocated his elbow and is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The report suggests that the Frenchman is expected to be out until after Christmas. But it is noted that he is hoping that surgery will not be needed.
TBR’s View
It is a big blow that Lloris is reportedly set to be sidelined for a couple of months. Although he has received some criticism for mistakes in recent times, his absence is a real setback as Spurs look to get back on track.

Paulo Gazzaniga has often done well when he has been needed. But the Argentinian has huge shoes to fill, and he is now gearing up for what should be his first lengthy stint in the team.
It is a plus that Lloris is optimistic that he will not need to undergo surgery. And hopefully that would suggest that the recovery will not take as long as previously feared.
But is is still going to be a difficult spell for Tottenham to navigate through.
