Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is closing in on a move loan move to Stoke City, Sky Sports (Live blog, 9.41 am) are claiming.
The 21-year-old is apparently nearing a return to the Championship, having spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Swansea City.

Carter-Vickers had been tipped to join Leeds United (The Sun), but it looks as though the Potters have stolen a march.
The USA international is not required at Spurs by Mauricio Pochettino, who has Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez, Juan Foyth and Eric Dier at his disposal.
The youngster has only ever made four first-team appearances for the club, and one would assume he now has one final chance to convince.

TEAMtalk claim Stoke manager Nathan Jones has managed to convince Carter-Vickers – who has also had spells at Sheffield United and Ipswich Town – to move to the Bet365.
The £20,000-a-week player (Spotrac) could be a solid signing for Stoke given the amount of experience he already has playing in English football’s second division.
He could be one of two defensive outgoings for Tottenham on transfer deadline, with Kyle Walker-Peters being lined up by both Southampton and Crystal Palace (Daily Mail).
