Report: Tottenham’s £13m man missing from final training session before Mura clash tonight

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies was not in first-team training yesterday, Football London report.

Missing from training

It is not known whether Davies has picked up an injury, as Nuno did not mention the Welshman being a doubt for tonight’s game.

But it seems that the £13 million left-back (London Evening Standard) could be struggling to be fit, after he missed out on training yesterday.

Tottenham are set to take on Mura in the Conference League later today, in a game which looks vital for Nuno.

A win will be firmly expected tonight and a failure to pick up three points would only see Nuno come under more pressure.

Would Davies have started?

It seems likely that Davies would have been given the nod to start if he was available.

The 28-year-old featured in both legs of Tottenham’s qualifiers against Pacos De Ferreira and also played against Rennes in their first game in the competition.

With Davies out it could be that Sergio Reguilon is forced to start again.

Nuno could also look at bringing in a young player to feature at left-back, although with Dennis Cirkin leaving in the summer and Ryan Sessegnon currently out injured their option in the position are limited.
