Tottenham Hotspur are said to be leading the race to sign Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina by Viola News.
Milenkovic has been linked with both Tottenham and West Ham United in recent times.
However, the Hammers have apparently seen a bid rejected for the Serbian, which leaves Spurs in position A to sign him for his £22 million asking price.
Fabio Paratici has reportedly already made moves to sign Milenkovic, as he gets to work with securing his first transfer at Tottenham.
Strong start
If Milenkovic is to be the first signing of the Paratici reign at Tottenham he could be an excellent addition.
Spurs are on the hunt for at least one new central defender and Milenkovic looks a good fit, given he was said to have ‘incredible potential’ by ex-Partizan Belgrade director Ivica Iliev (Lobaro Viola).

At 23 he is still young enough to improve, but his form in Serie A has caught the eye already.
Tottenham were actually linked with Milenkovic last summer, meaning he has been on their radar for some time.
And the news that Milenkovic is ‘destined to leave’ looks highly encouraging for Spurs fans now.
