French outlet Le10Sport have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are rivalling Chelsea in the race to sign Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy, with all three clubs making enquiries for the striker.
Guirassy, 24, has scored nine goals in 23 Ligue 1 appearances this season for the top-tier outfit. The former France Under-20 international’s form comes with a side that currently sit in 19th place in Ligue 1 – and have only score 31 league goals all term.
West Ham tried to sign the striker in January, but the Hammers remain interested in Guirassy and are in talks to land the forward. However, they are not the only side interested in landing Guirassy, with Spurs and West Ham are interested.
Indeed, the latter duo have made enquiries for 6ft 2in Guirassy – who has a contract with the club until the summer of 2022. It is believed that interested parties may have to spend a whopping £17.5million.
TBR’s view – Which club needs Guirassy most?
Chelsea boast Olivier Giroud, Michy Batshuayi and Tammy Abraham up front and until they sell one or even two of those three strikers, there is no point in bringing a new striker to Stamford Bridge – especially target man Guirassy.
Tottenham need back-up for Harry Kane after failing to bring a player to the club in January, while West Ham need to bring in cover for Sebastian Haller. Albian Ajeti has failed, while Michail Antonio is naturally a winger.
It is Spurs that need Guirassy, most. Whether or not he is good enough for the north Londoners, remains to be seen.
