ESPN report that Tottenham Hotspur are one of four Premier League clubs interested in signing manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard.
That is, amid reports that Lingard has held talks with Manchester United over his lack of game time. He returned from a brilliant loan at West Ham.
He joined the Hammers in January and hit the ground running. Playing 16 times, Lingard scored nine goals and laid on five assists during his loan.
Many expected him to join West Ham permanently, but he returned to United with the hope he would break back into the side at Old Trafford.
That has failed – playing just eight times, in which he has scored two goals, one which came against West Ham. Now, he could leave on a free.
The Times report talks have been held and Lingard will now go next summer. ESPN say Tottenham, Newcastle, West Ham and Everton are keen.

Tottenham eye Lingard: Could Paratici convince Man United man?
Lingard is going to have offers from all over Europe, from some of the continent’s biggest clubs. So, can Tottenham convince him?
West Ham will certainly be favourites, given his previous loan spell and existing relationships with Declan Rice, David Moyes and plenty more.
Newcastle will have enormous funds to spend and the excitement of being the face of the Toon’s new era. Everton look good under Rafa Benitez.
But a move to Spurs would see a return to the capital to play under the manager United fans wished was at Old Trafford – Antonio Conte.
