Tottenham Hotspur are thought to be interested in non-league defender Nico Lawrence, with Hampshire Live reporting that he has just played his second game on trial with Southampton.
Spurs have a fantastic crop of young players coming through right now. Oliver Skipp, of course, is now a key member of the first-team squad in North London.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte has had the likes of Harvey White, Maksim Paskotsi and several others around his squad since his appointment towards the end of last year.
And they may now be hoping to bolster their ranks further. Hampshire Live reports that Tottenham are thought to be monitoring Lawrence.
The centre-back currently plays for Glebe at step five of the non-league game.

They are currently in the mix for promotion, 10 points adrift of league leaders Chatham Town. They do however, have two games in hand on the pace-setters.
Hampshire Live reports that Lawrence is currently on trial with Southampton. And he has just played in his second trial game for the Saints.
Meanwhile, several EFL clubs also want him.
Tottenham face tough battle beating Southampton should they pursue move for Lawrence
Tottenham do have a hugely impressive crop of young players in their ranks. But they may wish that they were not up against Southampton if they are indeed pursuing Lawrence.
The Saints have had a brilliant academy for a long time. And they have continued to produce some impressive moves since they stopped playing under-23 football and focused on a B team.
Signing Thierry Small looked to be a huge coup. And he has now made his debut for the first-team, getting the nod from Ralph Hasenhuttl in the FA Cup at the weekend.
And obviously, the signing of Tino Livramento is looking like a masterstroke.
Being able to see that pathway is surely going to influence Lawrence’s decision. So Tottenham may have work to do if they hope to snatch him away from the Saints.
