Tottenham Hotspur have already signed one player from PSV Eindhoven this year, but according to The Sun on Sunday (8/3; page 59), they have set their sights on another with Spurs interested in 16-year-old Nawaaz Landfeld.

There have been reasons for optimism. But there looks to be plenty of work to do during the coming months as Tottenham look to re-establish themselves as title challengers in the Premier League.

The fans will be hoping to see marquee names arrive. But it appears that the club also have their eye on some exciting prospects for further down the line.

The Sun on Sunday (8/3; page 59) reports that Tottenham are interested in Landfeld, who is currently coming through with the Eredivisie side.

The teenager is yet to make his senior debut for PSV – who, of course, sold Steven Bergwijn to Spurs during the January transfer window.

The left-back has played in six of PSV’s seven under-17 Eredivisie games this term. His side sit second in the table, with only 10 goals conceded in those fixtures.

It may not be a move that immediately captures the imagination amongst Spurs fans. But the Netherlands rightfully has a reputation for bringing through some incredible talents – and Tottenham are seemingly hoping that Landfeld could be another.
