Tottenham will reportedly only entertain Real Madrid’s interest in Christian Eriksen if they throw in Marco Asensio as part of a deal.
According to the Sun, Madrid are chasing Eriksen this summer and already offered £45million plus Dani Ceballos to try secure a deal.
But it’s understood that Spurs want a part-exchange involved dazzling attacker Asensio and will make the demand to the Spanish giants.
The report details that Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane doesn’t want to lose the 23-year-old and has already rejected an approach from Juventus for him.
Eriksen’s potential move to La Liga could hang on whether Spurs get their target Asensio in return, who they would be prepared to take initially on a loan deal.
Eriksen, 27, will be a considerable loss if he does leave this summer and the attacking midfielder has been brilliant for the North London club.
But it would be a stunning deal if Spurs can get Asensio in return, as he’s someone with immense potential and could light up the Premier League.
The left-footed attacker usually plays on the wing, where his pace and skill can terrorise defenders.
He was directly involved in 13 goals last season in 44 games for Madrid and doesn’t look out of place alongside some superstars.
