The Times have claimed that Jose Mourinho wants to bring Leicester City attacker Demarai Gray to Tottenham Hotspur, after the expected arrival of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton.
Gray, 24, has been in and out of the Leicester side this season – starting just eight of his 27 league and cup appearances under Brendan Rodgers. Despite that, he has had a hand in eight goals for the Foxes.
He scored on Thursday as Leicester beat Sheffield United, finishing tidily past Dean Henderson as the Foxes won 2-0. But he has entered the final 12 months of his contract, just four years after his £3.7million move in 2016 (BBC).
The report states that the interest in Gray has plunged Erik Lamela’s future at Tottenham into doubt, while Mourinho also wants to sign a right-back, centre-back, midfielder and a striker – as well as Gray.

TBR’s view – Gray would be an excellent addition
Potentially on the cheap given his current contract situation and his lack of game time at Leicester, Mourinho may strike a bargain to sign Gray. Gray is young, but more than capable of scoring and creating in the Premier League.
The Sun claimed in 2018 that Mauricio Pochettino wanted to sign Gray during the latter stages of his Spurs spell. It is clear that Spurs are fond of Gray, and signing the English winger would be a good move for the north Londoners.
