Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in forming a reunion between Jose Mourinho and Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma this summer – and The Mirror has identified how much Spurs would need to spend to land Zouma.

Back in January 2014, Mourinho signed France international Zouma from St. Etienne. Since then, the centre-back has gone on to make 104 appearances for Chelsea, amid loans at St. Etienne, Stoke and Everton.

This season, under Frank Lampard, Zouma has enjoyed his best campaign since moving to west London. He has clocked up 33 appearances in all competitions, and that has seen Mourinho come calling.

French outlet RMC Sport claim Mourinho wants to work with Zouma for a second time at Tottenham. The Mirror suggests that Zouma is one of seven Chelsea players who could depart, and would cost £25million.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo last summer, former Tottenham midfielder and Everton ace Gylfi Sigurdsson said about Zouma: “He’s been fantastic for us since he came in, so hopefully he’ll want to stay [at Everton].”

TBR’s view – Is Zouma good value at £25m?

In his first couple of seasons in English football, Zouma developed a reputation for having a mistake in him. But fast forward to 25-year-old Zouma, and it is clear to see that constant game time has helped him.

At Everton, he was excellent last season – so much so that Toffees fans still want him now. This season, he has been solid whether that is in the Premier League or the Champions League.

At £25million, he is a bargain. Not only because he is now experienced in the Premier League and Champions League, but because he is just 25 and is only going to get better.
