Tottenham are reportedly interested in Bolton midfielder Luca Connell ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to the Sun, Spurs will swoop for the 18-year-old at the end of the season.

It is understood that Bolton will lose their teenage prodigy when they go into administration and that he’s set for the exit doors.

The report details that Spurs, Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Norwich City will all look to offer him top-flight football for next season.

Connell is out of contract at Bolton in the summer, meaning he can leave with just training compensation to be paid for any buyers.

TBR’s View:

Connell is a left-footed teenager that has broken into the Bolton first team this campaign and had a good taste Championship football.

The Irishman is a defensive midfielder that works hard in the centre of the park and is a technically gifted player.

He’s versatile too and can slot into left-back or left-wing roles, which highlights he’s mature beyond his year.

Connell has played 12 times at senior level this season and is very much one for the future.

Spurs fans shouldn’t be too excited about interest in the Bolton ace, but there is enough talent to attract several Premier League clubs and Mauricio Pochettino’s side have signed no players in the last two transfer window.
