Tottenham are set to miss out on yet another potential candidate in Christophe Galtier, according to Le 10 Sport.
Tutto Mercato Web suggested that Spurs had made an approach to Galtier just three weeks ago.
At that stage it seemed that Galtier’s move to Nice may fall through, with Spurs seemingly keen to take advantage.
However, Lille have now lowered their asking price for their manager, with his move to Nice said to be advanced.
Another blow?
Quite how high up on Totteham’s wishlist Galtier was is unclear, but reports of an approach suggest he was under consideration.
His impending move to Nice now just takes another option off the table for Spurs.

Tottenham have now gone over 70 days without a manager and face starting pre-season with no new boss in place, unless negotiations advance quickly in the coming days.
Galtier had just won the league with Lille in France, and could have offered an appealing option to Spurs.
While his command of English isn’t the strongest, his managerial stock has never been higher than after last season, where he pulled off one of the biggest shocks in European football by beating PSG to the league.
And Tottenham could surely have done worse than giving him a chance to impress in the Premier League.
