Tottenham are reportedly planning on making a second move for striker Vedat Muriqi from Turkish club Fenerbahce.
According to Aksam, Premier League duo Spurs and Burnley have already seen £20million offers for the centre-forward turned down.
It is understood that Spurs will now comeback with a fresh bid for the 25-year-old, as they try to sign a replacement for injured star Harry Kane.
Muriqi only move Fenerbahce in the summer and he’s managed 12 goals in 19 games across all competitions so far this season, as well as adding five assists too.
The Kosovo international is a forward that has been in excellent form in Turkey, but doesn’t have any previous experience in English football and would be making a serious step up.
Muriqi looks like a massive gamble on paper for Spurs and surely he’s not worth investing over £20million in.
Jose Mourinho’s team need to wrap up a deal for a new striker before the January window shuts, but ideally they need someone with Premier League know-how and that can make an instant impact.
There is still an outside shot of Spurs sneaking into the Champions League positions if they pick up their form in the remainder of the Premier League, but it looks impossible unless they sign a proven striker.
