Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes from Barcelona, after his successful loan spell with Everton this season in the Premier League.
According to the Telegraph, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is set to press ahead with a move for the 25-year-old and sanction a £30million raid.
It is understood that the North London club want to try snap him up under the noses of Everton, who are desperate to take him to Goodison Park on a permanent basis following his loan.
The report details that Spurs were interested in landing the Portugal international back in 2018 and are now back in the hunt for him.
Gomes is expected to leave Champions League quarter-finalists Barcelona in the summer and there is now double Premier League interest in him.

TBR’s View:
Spurs definitely need to strengthen in the centre of the park going into next year and £30million for Gomes could turn out to be a great deal if they can pull it off.
The central midfielder has proven he can mix it in English football and is an excellent passer of the ball that could make a difference at the North London club.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side need some extra guile in midfield to compliment a powerhouse like Moussa Sissoko and Gomes ticks a lot of boxes.
