Report: Tottenham to hold talks with Arkadiusz Milik’s agents on Wednesday

Tottenham are reportedly set to hold discussions with the agents of Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik on Wednesday.

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla has claimed on his website that Spurs have organised talks with the 26-year-old’s agents today after renewing interest in him.

It is claimed that Roma had agreed a £24million deal to sign the centre-forward, but that potential move has fallen through and he could now leave for a lower figure.

Milik scored 14 goals in 35 games across all competitions last season for Italian club Napoli and is a target man that is a real presence in the final third.

The left-footed attacker is a strong player that holds the ball up well and is a threat in the air, plus he’s proven at Napoli and previously Ajax he’s a decent finisher too.

TBR’s View:

Despite some excellent deals in the transfer window already, it will feel a little incomplete for Spurs if they fail to bring in a striker before the deadline.

They do now have Gareth Bale as an option to play through the centre, while the likes of Lucas Moura and Heung-Min Son can also do a similar job, but they really need a recognised understudy to Harry Kane at striker.

Jose Mourinho’s side have a major fixture schedule this season due to domestic and European competitions, which is why proven striker Milik could be a great signing for the club if they can negotiate a deal for him.
